Twitter and The World’s Most Interesting Man Join Morris Animal Foundation to Fight Pet Cancer

#UniteToFight Pet Cancer

This weekend’s Unite To Fight Pet Cancer virtual pet cancer walk has been raising awareness for months on Twitter and across the internet. The online and IRL (internet speak for “in real life”) fundraiser benefits the non-profit Morris Animal Foundation and their support of scientific research to advance veterinary medicine. See just a few of the adorable, heart-felt, and passionate tweets from Morris Animal Foundation’s supporters.

The World’s Most Interesting Man and Jimmy Fallon

Even Jonathan Goldsmith, the actor who portrays the widely popular Dos Equis spokescharacter known as “The World’s Most Interesting Man” is throwing his weight behind the campaign. He’s encouraging animal cancer research supporters to join him in challenging NBC’s The Tonight Show host, Jimmy Fallon, to participate in the fundraising walk. You can see his appeal to Fallon in the Vimeo video below and join his efforts on Twitter.

About The Virtual Walk Format

Leading up to Sunday, June 22nd, teams of pet owners gather pledges for donations to Morris Animal Foundation. The #UniteToFight website features an interactive map of participants as well as a leaderboard for which teams and individuals have raised the most pledges. As participants pass fundraising goals, they receive virtual badges and qualify for real incentives including Morris Animal Foundation Supporter apparel. In addition to donations, the foundation asks everyone to take photos and videos on June 22nd and post them on social media with the hashtag #UniteToFight.
